There are bird species which live around the Victoria Lake and some of these include; mostly storks, ducks and crowned cranes. The Animal Orphanage in Entebbe housing more than dozen bird species but most of them stay on the high trees, out of camera reach. The other attractions in Entebbe include; vervet monkeys, the animals’ orphanage, the crowned crane, Lake Victoria, botanical gardens, Entebbe International Airport, resort beaches, chimps at Ngamba, and many more to see on your safari visit to this wonderful place.

This tour starts at 8:00 am or any time of your preference but it ends between 6:00-8:00 pm(local time) according you will so when ready you will notify our guide to drive you back to the HOTEL AND he will keep you reminded of the time!. Entebbe is 21 miles from Kampala, the capital of Uganda

Entebbe with a population of approximately 90,500, Located on the shore of Lake Victoria.

In the local Luganda language, Entebbe means a “seat”. It was named that because it was the place where a Baganda chief sat to adjudicate legal cases.

Most popular of Entebbe’s residents are civil servants and others making their livelihood through agriculture, fishing, producing consumer goods, or through small-scale industry. The primary languages are English and Luganda.

Entebbe town was founded in 1893. It first became a British colonial administrative and commercial center when Sir Gerald Portal, a colonial Commissioner, used it as a base. Port Bell went on to become Kampala’s harbor and actually the first capital of Uganda. Although no ships land there now, there is still a jetty, which was used by Lake Victoria ferries.

From 1894 to 1962 the city was the administrative capital of the British Uganda Protectorate. In 1972, Entebbe’s Asian population was forced to leave as part of a nationwide expulsion of Asians by Gen. Idi Amin. In 1976, Entebbe’s airport was the site of a raid by Israeli commandos who freed 103 Israeli hostages from a plane hijacked by Palestinian terrorists. Eleven Ugandan warplanes and much of the airport were destroyed in the raid.


In the morning after your breakfast our guide will pick you up from your hotel around Kampala and drive to Entebbe. We shall stop at Entebbe town for some good hours then pass through Botanical Gardens of Entebbe along Lake Victoria. These begonias are habitants for many primates, tropical vegetation, and hike on the white sand of Lake Victoria beach.

The prospect of neighboring fishermen casting their nets on canoes and the gorgeous scenery of the Victoria ascertains of a calm sunrise in a peaceful place blown by the cool lake breeze. In addition to a diversity of primates such as Baboons and monkeys, 20-25 bird species and butterflies, Lunch served next to the beach under shade provided by the great palm vegetation. Local Uganda or intercontinental dishes are provided upon your order- grilled tilapia, Indian dishes etc., all served with energizing cold drink.

Following lunch break, we take a ride to the Zoo where you shall witness most of the animal and bird species inhabitant in Uganda gazetted in a semi natural habitation. Which includes; Crocodile, Lion, Buffalo, Antelopes, Hippos, Snakes, and very lots of bird species? Taking photographs of your interest following payment for your camera at entry and you shall hike along various paths ending at beach side restaurants for food and drink before proceeding to your last destination.

We then drive to Imperial Resort Beach Entebbe, were you will find the best white sand which is bordering with a beautiful FIVE STAR HOTEL. You walk in clean water and along the best sand in Uganda. The unforgettable tour in the caves along this beach which have been turned out into creative bars due to its unique features

It’s okay to swim in lake Victoria with the locals if interested swim or dive into other swimming pools to work out your physical fitness after a full of activity day finalized with a dance to Ugandan local tunes plus international tunes to warm your body as say buy the beach provided it’s a weekend.
